EDUCATION INSTITUTION NETWORK
Over 40 years, a network has developed of individuals in Canadian educational institutions who have participated in the research and development of the e-training and e-health products represented by CHSC. These contacts can provide their knowledge and skills, if required by a project, to be engaged in user training and transfer the best practices to a developing country.

Seneca College Seneca College is located in Toronto Canada’s largest urban area and is chosen by more students than any other college in Canada. More than half of the immigrants in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have skilled work experience and/or a post-secondary education, yet they experience barriers to employment. Seneca is committed to meeting the needs of internationally-trained persons by providing education, training and support in order to create job-ready graduates who are prepared to make valuable contributions to Canada’s workforce. English as a Second Language (ESL) is one of the largest academic areas in Continuing Education at Seneca. Each year, thousands of our adult learners enrol in a large array of ESL courses. Approximately 60 per cent of these adult learners have degrees/diplomas from other countries. These individuals have enrolled to develop the writing, speaking and comprehension skills needed to pursue careers in Canada. Seneca has adopted the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and has matched our language assessment and several language subjects to CLB. The English Language Institute (ELI) is designed to provide English-language instruction to students on international study permits. Four hundred to 500 students from around the world study English full-time (25 hours per week) for two to 16 months in preparation for post-secondary studies at Seneca. The ELI has a global reputation for innovation and success in its approach to teaching ESL and preparing students for further academic studies in English. This approach includes CAN-8 Virtual Lab the latest technology in multi-media language learning. Seneca College has been the development site for CAN-8 for over 15 years.
