MANAGEMENT CONSULTING
CHS Canada consultants continue to provide ICT management consulting services in Canada to health care clients who want independent advice and assistance in the planning for and the procurement of ICT based e-learning and e-health solutions. Recent assignments have focused on the global need for ICT management and leadership assistance with e-health in developing countries. The US$50 million funding to the WHO from the Gates Foundation plus several donor countries, created the Health Metrics Network (HMN) in 2005. The publication in 2007 of the HMN framework and needs assessment tools provides a “Roadmap” that can be applied in any developing country for Health Information System (HIS) implementation. Of the 151 developing countries around the world, 101 applied for funding and 65 were approved to do need assessments and strategic plans.
Please visit www.who.int/healthmetrics to learn more about HMN funding and the framework.
The HMN funding and framework has created an opportunity for not only the first phase of leadership, coordination and assessment, but a second phase for planning and priority-setting. We are available to provide on-site short-term ICT management consulting assignments to the governments and institutions of the developing countries interested in evolving their e-health agenda.
Please visit www.theglobalfund.org to learn more about The Global Fund (TGF) to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
TGF requires a developing country to apply for the funds to procure the resources, including ICT, to set up a country specific programme. We are available to provide on-site short-term management consulting assistance to developing country governments to apply to the Global Fund.
